We can follow whatever protocol your business asks us to. If we’re allowed to leave the delivery at the front door, our drivers will do that. If you require someone to be home for the delivery, we will make sure that the delivery is handed to the customer. If the customer is not answering the door, our driver will call them if a phone number is provided. If they're still unreachable, we will contact your store to see if there's further instruction or if you're able to reach them yourself. If all else fails and the customer cannot be reached and the package cannot be left, our driver will have to fail the delivery and it will be brought back to your store (which will trigger a return charge).
What's your protocol when customers are not home for delivery?
